I recently received a few tee shirts from my sponsor Idylle and this one is my favorite. It reminds me of one Bliss worn in Whip It, but mostly I love the symmetry and simple color palette; the design keeps the tee from being too casual. It's a piece you can just throw on with jeans and a comfy cardigan, but you can also dress up a bit with a flared skirt and bib necklace.

This is the wedding dress wore by Miss Anne Holms on June 13th, 1893 when she wed Alfred perfect from Orangville Ontario. The story I was told by Mrs Sykes of Thornbury ontario who gave me this garment since she was downsizing and wanted it to go to a good home. Alfred Perfect was a mining engineer and a Medical Doctor.

One of my favorite pieces to wear this fall/winter has been this fairisle sweater from ASOS. The colors were so seasonally appropriate for fall and the fit is perfectly relaxed and cozy. Here are a few ways I've worn it so far.

I adore Gat Rimon's fall/winter collection. The clean lines are so nice and polished sweetly with glam bangles and elbow length gloves; it's perfectly ladylike and minimalist.

Noble Savage Vintage is looking forward to the next Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show and Sale. This is an amazing Vintage Clothing and Antique Textile Extravaganza with 90 Vintage Clothing and Textile Dealers bringing their finest.

I wanted to do a men's "scarf saturday" for awhile now because hey, fellows wear scarves too and they look darn good in them. Unfortunately, I don't really read many menswear blogs, so tracking down enough pictures for a good post took awhile.

My sister got a book of John Gutmann photographs and I was really taken with his work so I scanned a few of my favorites. He had a way of making the most ordinary scenes seem special and noticing details others might miss. Perhaps part of his unique perspective came from being a German who came to America and his fascination with America's sprawling cities and multiracial crowds.
