  • Pay to cast

You have to upgrade to YouTube red ($15) to be able to cast music to any device for this app.
  • Greedy Ads

    By Black Dallas
The app was great for a while but now you get two Ads for every song you listed to. When it’s done with a song it will play two Ads. Plus it’s expensive for premium. $12.99 for a music service. I rather just stick to pandora or Spotify and listen to an Ad ones every five songs or so.
  • False advertising

    By appleisbadcompany
Remember all those ads on the original YouTube app saying that if you switch to YouTube Music, you’d be able to keep playing music while switched off the app? That’s a lie, you have to pay premium for that. So if that’s what your looking for in this app don’t bother unless you wanna pay for it
  • Not what it used to be

I’ve used YouTube Red since they first introduced it. I remember it being $9.99 a month and getting downloads, background play, etc. then all of a sudden they’ve changed everything and upped their prices. Also— the app is constantly freezing, and won’t show related music under the song I’m listening to. Might be because they want more money. I canceled my subscription. I do not recommend YouTube, not anymore anyways.
  • I want to love this app.

    By Jack McJackface
I really want to love it but, it only uses maybe 12 songs for stations and repeats so often. Apart from that it is extremely buggy with bluetooth headphones. If i use the native buttons on my headphones to skip songs or pause it seems to freeze the app and i have to hard reset it to get music playing again. Extremely annoying considering i pay for youtube red
  • This Service Just Gets Better and Better!

    By RonP1979
Thanks so much for adding the ability to add playlist and entire albums to other playlists. This has made it very much easier to organise music collections and it also makes this app more competitive to other compared streaming providers such as Apple music, Prime music, and spotift. In the past, I have used this app along with my previous Apple subscription, but if things keep improving like this I am going to eventually completely leave Apple Music (which I have been with for many years) and come to YouTube music. I enjoy the merging of music videos/music and that makes this app work better for me than other alternatives. The only thing that I am waiting for now is the ability to upload my own tracks (as done with Google Music & Apple Music) because some or my mixtapes, etc. are missing on this app. Anyway, thanks so much for the improvements. This makes this service even more worthwhile and causes me to trust the Google company even more since you did promise these changes last year.

The reason I don’t like youtube music is because when I am working out I try to put these songs on but it doesn’t let you. That is really frustrating, but over all I enjoy YouTube music
  • Room for improvement

App has started always crashing about 30 seconds into the second song on my offline playlist, and the song is never the same. Offline playlist is also in a perpetual state of constantly waiting on WiFi to download. I usually have to live with about half a dozen songs because the other 34 or so is waiting to download. Then my playlist automatically changes and the process starts over.
  • :/

I honestly thought if I use this app, I would be able to leave it and use my other apps. I’m disappointed that I would have to do a one month trial then pay afterwards (or cancel yes I know). My point is, if this app is meant for music, I think it should be playing music even if you leave the app, WITHOUT having to pay.

Great app if you love listening to ads nonstop. Also, don’t close it to do anything else
