  • Why make it so complicated that it moves so slowly

I’m likely giving up on this. This game would be great if it wasn’t for all the pomp and circumstance that takes longer than the actual gameplay.

Both good and BAD... I’d like to say that the game is fun and can be quite addicting to play. Seems to be pretty well thought out, so I give you thumbs up for that. HOWEVER, I would strongly suggest NOT spending your hard earned money. I will admit, It will be very tempting and it will help build your strength in the game by doing so. So if you decide you must, be prepared that if anything happens to “hurt” or slow your progress (and it will!) the support team will do nothing to make it right. After waiting for several days for a response, you will be told “we are unable to assist or process your request, we thank you for your understanding in the matter”. This after you give all the details to make it clear about the problem. They will disregard you and your requests. Clearly not caring about their paying players. So as long as you can accept that... go play and spend money. You’ll also be encouraged to be an “ambassador” which is recruiting other players. In exchange they will give you a 1000 gems for each new player that you invite at the end of the month. Guess again.... they will maybe give you credit for 1 player, no matter how many you invite and they actually play. So good luck.

The best cards cost a lot of money and there’s never a guarantee on whether or not you’ll get the card! Everything is literally “luck of the draw”. I spent $200 trying for a rare card (which a new one is released EVERY WEEK) and still didn’t get the card that I needed to complete the deck. Great game but not for the competitive unless you are willing to spend a lot of money.
  • Terrible connection

I have had a great time playing this game but for some reason I’m not allowed to play because it says I have a bad server/WiFi connection. This isn’t true and I know this because every other game I have that requires an internet connection is fine with my WiFi but for some reason this game is not.
  • Gambler’s addiction, not a game

The game mechanics that do exist are fun and that is why I gave it a 2 star review. Unfortunately, you can’t do anything in the game without buying their incredibly expensive ‘hero packs’. To get an effective team together, you will have to spend $30/week since there is an event every week. Then, when you buy the packs, you may or may not get the heroes you need. So you are forced to buy more. And as you buy more the price goes up. Finally, the heroes skills often don’t do what they claim. For example, this last light event, the hero’s skill was supposed to get rid of the bosses armor. But there are all kinds of stipulations, so the effect is that the hero doesn’t actually counter and you have to pay more. You have to use a key each battle, which costs real $. And if you happen to get a decent team together, it is a nightmare-ish grind fest to out do the other players who don’t put it down 24/7 and who spend $300/week.
  • Should be better

Game and game mechanics is solid but the game is held back by server lag that the developers seem to be unable to correct. You want a game where it takes 10 minutes to slide one color? This is the game for you. Totally frustrating on a game with potential

NOTE: If you’re not into spending money on a game don’t bother with this one. Seriously. I love this game. It’s one of the few that I’ve spent over $100 on but with every new update it becomes more unplayable. I just purchased their VIP again, 4th time, at $29.99 per month and am now seriously thinking about requesting a refund from Apple. It seems the developers no longer wish to support phones and devices that aren’t brand new. Three times in a row while attacking I’ve now gotten the message “Server Error - Restart”. This makes for a horrific experience- not only frustrating but also annoying and time wasting. Were this the first time this has happened I’d be ok with it. This happens regularly with this game. Either you get server errors or the game randomly crashes. This happens regularly. When writing to customer support about this - usually they are excellent - you get redirected to a site where other people who play the game meet and chat. You can waste hours there trying to find an answer when customer service should be able to simply help.

Played for around 300 days.. here some things you would probably like to know about before you start. -Weekly decks have powerful cards that are extremely rare, even with VIP and daily gem pass approx 45$ a month I was never able to legitimately obtain an ultra rare during the event. -The most I ended up spending on a single event was 300$ just to see how much it would get me, I was only able to obtain the ultra rare due to it being VIP week, it was guaranteed for around 100$ in gems, however the results of the deck were mixed, It really only had average value in PVP / GVG -Playing more can easily get you into winning the featured warden card that week, but after winning about 20 of them in a row I only was able to upgrade 1 of them to make it useable, so the playtime was kind of a waste, due to low payouts. I played a lot in order to place high enough during each event to win the warden. -During the last 20 events or so they would just recolor previous events for the featured decks that week, often making them power creep, making the previous deck more and more obsolete. -Around 1000$ in I played only 1 deck for every event, which was a Halloween deck, which became really old after using it for every event. -Game is free to play if you want to piddle around, but even with VIP, daily gem pass and buying gems on top of it, I was never able to obtain an ultra rare @ 6 % odds, I couldn’t imagine how long you would have to save up gems... maybe 8-10 months??? The game itself is pretty fun, but to be able to play with a deck the way it’s designed to function is extremely expensive... I was never able to experience a full deck. Which was for me, a real bummer considering they release a new deck every week. Playing with partial decks is somewhat ok... but interchanging different decks can be difficult due to the game design. All in all - it’s a money pit. I hope this helps.
