  • BUYER BEWARE! Unfinished app with horrible known glitch

    By bmchapman5
I just upgraded to version 5 from version 4 because the previous features I had already paid for kept disappearing. The app looks a lot cleaner, but I very single time I open the calendar I have to wait about a minute (60 secs) for my events to show up on the calendar. I contacted app support and they said it was a known issue and will fix it in future versions. So I went from a version that worked better, but no longer supported to a version that they charged me again for, and this newer version almost makes the app unusable due to frustration. Poor customer care and poor app. I cancelled my subscription. I lost $25, but I won’t lose another $25. Buyer Beware!
  • Too much clutter

    By 2%ReducedFatMilk
This app lets you do everything with tasks - tag, take notes, prioritize, schedule, log progress, and group them into projects. It may work for some, but I find myself spending so much time inserting all the details of a project or task that I end up planning more than doing. You cannot do anything at all with the free version — not even create a task. The subscription version opens up a world of complex project management tools, but there is no way to quickly jot down a list of tasks. I took the time to learn the non-intuitive UI, but I still can’t find a way to see a useful overview of my projects, calendar, and tasks all together. My other issue is that it’s just not pretty. You can change color schemes, but that merely switches from one monochromatic mode to another. I need a task manager with all the options but without all the clutter.

Love Informant. Great for keeping me on track
  • SOOOOOO Frustrating

    By FistTimer
This is the first time I’ve ever written a review. I’ve had this app since my iPhone 3GS because it aspired to tick all of the boxes - namely syncing google calendars and Toodledo (for the GTD functionality) across my iOS devices and let me make edits to both from my PC-based browser. From the very beginning, there have been syncing issues, but I figured they’d work the kinks out. I’ve subscribed to this app over and over, I signed up for their web service (which was a horrible joke) - always thinking it would get better. IT HASN’T. It might work for a while, but eventually a hiccup is encountered and calendars and tasks get duplicated or wiped out. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is. Mind you, I am NOT a Luddite - I work in tech. I don’t care if an app can’t do something, but THEN DON’T PRETEND THAT YOU CAN. If this app did all it aspires to do, it would be brilliant. In practice, it is mind-blowingly frustrating. You have been warned.
  • They Screwed it Up

    By Rscoops
They took away 5 features that I loved and still don’t have 2 features that other calendars offer, plus jacked up the price to $25 EVERY year and added a bunch of bugs. Please just fix the great basic features & colors and stop dreaming up new stuff that I don’t need and will never use.
  • Non Synchronization option in iOS 10.3.3

    By JerDH
I have been led to believe that PI 5.4 is the only Version of pocket informant which can handle iOS 12. I am enjoying some of the advanced features. I remain concerned, that the lack of a reliable non synchronization option per task, I.e. old completed tasks, dooms it to an eventual break in synchronization, once the synchronization load becomes too great. I am hopeful that this will eventually be remedied. There is a folders method of trying to take things out of synchronization with this version, but again, for how I operate, this seems unreliable.
  • My favorite calendar app is dead after IOS12

    By kmashton
After upgrading to IOS 12, Informant no longer links/syncs with the default iPhone calendar. My calendar is empty now and the app is unusable as is. What’s the deal?
  • The best of the best all in one calendar and reminder app on the App Store

    By MarcAllan
Fantastic layout, design and ease of use. I utilize the Calendar and Reminder integration features and find Informant quite easy to learn and use. I don’t want or need all the “advanced” features, so I turn them off. There are a couple of inconsistencies here and there within the app, but nothing that gets in the way of my productivity.
  • 15 years and still getting better

I’ve used it since my Pocket PC days. It continues to improve. Well worth the cost.
  • Shameful

I have used this app since I used a blackberry. The enhancements over the years has been fantastic BUT this latest upgrade although I have purchased add ones in the past now has yearly subscriptions. Please! I will no longer use and feel cheated!
