  • No ID without internet connection

I am very disappointed that without internet connection, this app doesn’t work. That means if you’re hiking in the backcountry where there’s no internet, the app is useless.
  • Actually Identifies Plants. Great app!

This app so far is great. It’s actually identified the plants I've taken pictures off. I want to be able to identify plants when out in walks with my kid and now I can. I also like that it’s the one time price for the app and doesn’t have any additional or month fees to use. So far I’me very pleased.

    Seems fairly early to use.
  • No Sharing or Developer Feedback

No way to share the snaps in my collection or let the developer know that this is desired feature - not that they should have to be told.
  • Requiring an account for no reason

At least, no reason for a user like me. Bought the app in November, just had occasion to use it yesterday and discovered I’d have to give them my email address. I just wanted to identify a plant, not establish a business relationship. Of course, I’m past the refund window.
  • Good but should use user id’s to improve AI

I bought this app mainly for fun since I know my plants. It’s great at identifying common houseplants but don’t expect it to differentiate between hundreds of types of palms, or cycads, or bananas. Particularly for groups of similar looking plants it’s not that good. I contacted them if I could help improve that app by identifying plants but they declined my offer.
  • Not worth the money

Not accurate on any of the plants I snapped. Touts sending to a live botanist when there is no match but one week later I never heard from anyone...a waste of $20
  • I’d like to see a flower garden planner

It would be awesome to have a flower garden planning tool that integrates with this. I want to know what flowers will do great in my hardiness zone, how to plant them, maybe even a visualizer of my 3D space.
  • This app was awesome until it prompted me to register before use

Seriously? I think registry is a good option for those that want to do it but forcing me to give up my email address in order to use the app is garbage. Without this I would’ve given it a five star.

I just took a picture of my camellia and plant snap thought it was a rose... soooo I’m not as enthusiastic as I was when I found this app... it could be so great!!! I have some wild daffodils coming up so let’s see what plant snap thinks they are!!
