  • Outstanding game! Must try!

First impressions about this game were hesitant. I’m a fan of similar looking games, but I tend to easily lose interest due to the repetition, grinding, and minimalist story telling. This game, however, has such a variety that I’m hooked. Instead of fitting into one category of game, this seems to have a little bit of different game styles that mingle well together. You actually interact with the missions and fighting, you have a castle that you can build and gain resources from, missions have a coop option, and there are many ways that you can upgrade and improve your team. Above all this, the unique dragon ability is so much fun, and I can’t resist using it as much as possible in game. However, the biggest thing that hooked me on the game are the characters. Most mobile games I’ve played give you a huge roster of flashy looking characters that have very little in terms of personality or story. This game takes a different approach. Every character has a short story of how they meet your character, and the events that unfold afterwards. Every story feels different, and makes me want to see where it goes, or what moral it has to share. Even after this, each character has different voice lines they will use all over the place. Because of this, I’m almost never disappointed by a getting a new character, even if it’s a repeat class/element combo. With these repeats, you will most likely end up choosing the character who’s personality you like more. Do you like the classy butler who has an insistence on scheduling, or do you prefer the free-spirited pirate captain? The choice is yours! Last good detail, there are in game purchases, but the game has never made me feel like I needed to buy them to progress or get something new. You are rewarded enough that you can easily get fun new characters, dragons, and gear that you can try out. A perfect way to handle this kind of detail.

When did Nintendo have a good anime game, question mark?
  • Everything Mobile Gaming Should Be

Dragalia Lost was a slow starter for me. At first I found it too easy and it didn’t seem to have a lot of depth. Something about it kept pulling me back though and it becomes a richer and richer experience the more time I spend with it. The story is good, the characters are charming, the gameplay is fun and becomes nuanced and challenging over time. They’re doing a ton of events to keep the content fresh, and I think this is a game I’ll stick with for a long time.
  • A game that has no pop-ups every 5 seconds.

    By derpking40
Dragalia lost is a game with no sudden pop-ups, making it enjoyable. Frame rate is fluent, and has the looks of developers enjoying making this stellar game! I can’t believe people not playing this game just because Nintendo created dragalia.
  • Woah

I never write reviews but this one definitely deserves one, I simply love the style of gameplay and that even physically impaired people can play it, it isn’t confusing and you can play it even if you were born without an arm, simply fantastic, I also enjoy the fact that it is not pay to win like other games, It’s story is really cliche but charming in its own way, the characters are...well...they’re not that amazing, you got a princess that needs help, a valiant prince to save the day, a comic relief character that thankfully isn’t as annoying as navi...and that’s all I remember to be honest, so yeah that’s my honest review of...forgot the name...dang it, well anyway i definitely recommend it for people that like standard RPG stuff like hearthstone, oh and the energy per level thing? Works Perfectly, and let’s be honest, EVERYONE wants to transform into an unstoppable killing machine at some point in life...definitely a good stress reliever... [TOTAL SCORE] gameplay: 8/10 Story: 5/10 Mechanics: 9.5/10 Japanese Voice acting: 9/10 English voice acting: 2.5/10 Entertainment value: about as addicting as they can be at this point...

I don’t do this often but thought I should say something for those who are unsure whether they’d like this game. I’ve been playing since the first day of release and since then I’ve completed most of the story and both events that have taken place and I’ve felt 0 pressure to buy extra. Many games make you feel pressured or forced to buy upgrades or premium currency but this game is fun to play and doesn’t require that. I haven’t yet but will most likely pay some down the line to support the company making such quality games like this. Extra money is definitely not required to play/enjoy this game and it’s definitely worth checking out because of the quality story telling and gameplay.
