  • Good, but it could be great

Pocket is a nice app and service, but i rate it Lowe because it could so easily be much better, both as an app and a web browser add-in. Tagging is tedious; it does not remember the tags I just used, it’s suggested tags are usually so generic as to not apply, and it does not allow copy/paste of a set of tags. Further, search by tags is far too limited, it should allow tag1 AND tag2. I even have the paid service; you’d think it would be better. It basically feels like the Pocket team does not actually USE their own product, because I bet if they did, it would be a lot more usable.
  • Good, but loved the previous version more

This was a great app. I used it for years. I loved being able to not just save articles for offline reading, but to listen to longer articles & annotate & highlight to my heart’s content. With the latest update however, I can no longer have it all-at least not all at once. I can’t easily switch between listening to going straight to the text at that point to highlight a key phrase I just heard. And if I wanted to actually read instead of listen, I need to hunt for my place in the article. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the ease in which the old version allowed me to toggle between all these different ways to enjoy the written word. Will these features come back?
  • Lost two of its greatest things

I've been using Pocket for years now, and really found this last update to be horrible for my needs. I dislike the fact that you need to be online to listen to the articles, and also dislike that you can't read the article while you listen to it anymore, not to mention the great feature of highlighting each word read, which seems to be gone forever as well. I'd like to kindly ask the dev team to bring offline reading back as well as the read and highlight feature from previous versions. That would mean the world of a difference. Thanks in advance.
  • Text To Speech mode is a mess

Thank you for adding a much improved audio quality. Unfortunately modal approach to Text2Speech is a problem. - Stories can no longer be commanded to be read from the story screen. - Neither can it be done from a list view. - Instead user has to enter a new mode with a new UI, stories are not presented in the same order as in the main list. Please bring it all together.

First thing I wanted to do was save a photo of a recipe to Pocket. Can’t. If it’s just web pages I can use reading list and not have another app confusing things. This is unnecessary. Deleted the app.
  • Tagging

Still, several issues tagging and bulk editing. Losing all kinds of articles. If this issue was corrected, it would easily be the best app out there. 2 star.

This is the best photo filing app I have found. Photos transfer easily. It has Sub Folders which is a biggie with me. And it is simple to use. One can zip a folder and password protect the folder if needed. Great app.

While I think pocket has some great features I just find it more comfortable reading on instapaper. Just my 2c
