  • Forced notifications

Constant notifications even with them turned off on sports I don’t watch and articles I care nothing about. I like getting scores, but the constant bombardment of news articles is getting aggravating. I’m sure it will get worse as the NFL draft predictions get closer. I don’t follow NCAA, but here’s ESPN reminding me of a “huge matchup!” I don’t follow NASCAR, but here’s a notification about a “huge race!” Worse is, I have emailed about the amount of unsolicited notifications and all I got is “sorry we are looking into it” and a couple days later an email said that the ticket was closed... but nothing has changed. I’m deleting the app, maybe I’ll revisit ESPN once they get their app together and understand what settings sliders mean on their app.

ESPN app showed I used 5 GB of data when I only used to listen to live radio and podcasts Please fix unnecessary data usage when not using video
  • Way too slow

Even with a very fast connection, the app loads impossibly slow. Anything you need from the app you can get from a browser in half the time. It sometimes takes several minutes and refreshes just to check scores.
  • Never works

Every time I’ve tried to watch a game it never works! Will not stream the games. Every other sport app I have works just fine. The only thing that does work is getting charged $4.99 for the past 7 months!
  • Battery drain

Great app. But even with low usage it consistently is one of the highest battery users. My background refresh is turned off. That is the only flaw I see.

2 articles that I wanted to read and both paywalled. Delete!

Why can I follow teams from seven international soccer teams, six international rugby leagues but not college softball teams. It’s only one of the fastest growing sports in the WORLD. It’s truly disconcerting to see how horribly disconnected you are to the sports in the United States.

It says 7 day trial for free, but I still got charged for it even though I cancelled it few hours later. Watch out people.
