Know where your kids are, control their screen time and manage what they access and buy online. AT&T Secure Family Plus delivers parents peace of mind: • Location Tracking – Track a family member on an interactive map. • Arrival/Departure Alerts – Receive an alert when your child enters or leaves a location (home, school, etc.). • Pause Internet – Limit Online distractions (time for homework, time for bed). • Filter & Block Content – Filter or block Apps and Online content based on age appropriate settings. • App Purchase Block – Block your child’s ability to make App purchases. AT&T Secure Family Plus is free for the first 30 days. After the first 30 days, you will be billed $7.99 each month for up to 10 lines. Service auto renews every 30 days unless cancelled. Easy Setup and Pairing for Parents: Solution requires pairing with AT&T Secure Family Companion, a free app+ that must be downloaded to the child’s device. With your child’s device in hand: Step 1 Send an invite text from your AT&T Secure Family app on your phone to your child’s phone. Step 2 Open the text on your child’s phone and tap the link. Step 3 Tap the AT&T Secure Family Companion download button and follow the instructions that appear on your child’s phone screen + AT&T Secure Family Companion can be found in the App Store and only works with the purchase of AT&T Secure Family Plus which is $7.99/month. Other important information about AT&T Secure Family: − After first 30 days, $7.99/mo. will be charged to your iTunes account. Subscription will automatically renew each month unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current month’s billing period. − To view, modify or cancel your subscription, go to account settings in iTunes. No cancellation of the current month’s subscription is allowed. No refunds or credits for partial subscriptions terms.     Before ATT changed its app it was good, now this family secure app is junk. It couldn’t locate anyone if their life depended on it. It always seems to put them a mile from where they really are and at one point had them in the middle of a river. If your family member is lost and your trying to help track them, it ain’t going to work if there actively moving. Has a hard time tracking you when your still let alone moving.

    ATT does not care about their numerous customers in this age of information security. This app is a total failure and embarrassment. I have my 3 teenagers on my phone plan that smart limits helped to do parental control but this secure family stuff have not done anything. They said we have to install the software on the teenagers phone and from there monitor what they do. How can this be possible considering the fact that your kids doesn’t want to be monitored. Despite all my emails and texts to ATT nothing came out of it. I had since shut my ATT family account and gone with another provider . Good riddance. Don’t download this app because it’s a total waste of time.

    please bring back the smart limits app.... it did so much more and just worked!!!! My daughter keeps uninstalling the companion app and it breaks things. No internet? She breaks the app to stay up all night. I’m now looking into two different ideas. 1) hire a developer to use the att web api in your account to control data on and off and build a cloud control manager and scheduler. 2). Because our family is iOS based, set up a Mac server, use profile manager and build my own backend vpn profiles that connect to a cloud firewall and control schedules that way. Either way, att has failed me and this was the only reason keeping me locked to them. Frankly, this is something apple could do and give parents a control in iCloud......

    This app is absolutely awful. First when I purchased it, it didn’t work correctly for a whole week. The locator feature you can already do that on iPhone without the app. It does not allow you to block phone numbers like smart limits. And it just doesn’t do anything useful. Why they moved away from smart limits is beyond me. Also, when you set night time limits and want to use any other phone locator function it does not work. The only positive is the time limits, but I’m better off doing that by suspending service at night than paying $7. Please don’t waste your money.

    Have been a family map user and all of a sudden it was changed to this app which will not even let me log back in but instead telling me the link is expired and need to resend text from parent app then tap on link in the message on child ‘s phone... like , i have the parent app and will not even let me log in and if I click ok it takes me back to the log in page... call this frustrating!!!!

    I’d select that. First, everyone gets an instant notification that they are enrolled. Second, it does essentially nothing (except a crude map locator) unless a companion app is downloaded on the kids’ phone. Third, the kids must enter their username and passcodes to download the companion app. Finally, the kids can delete the app—and along with it, all features that (might) make the app usable. What a waste. Don’t get ripped off

    I can’t believe they are charging for this. Shameful business practices. Intrusive on basic smart phone functionality. Killed my data last month, child’s phone would not stay connected to the WiFi and would keep running through LTE.

    No stars! This app is a failure of epic proportions. BRING BACK SMART LIMITS!!! Just cancelled this service, which in addition to being dysfunctional, also auto-texted my kids once a week to tell them they were being monitored...yeah, good thinking AT&T... Obviously AT&T engaged a teenage focus group to work with non-parent app developers in designing their next generation of parental controls. This “next level” successor to Smart Limits and Family Map barely works at all, is virtually useless to parents even when it does, and then only with the cooperation of the kids! Are you kidding me? AT&T got rid of all the truly valuable features of Smart Limits (data and call limits that were in the parent’s control) in favor of this piece of garbage which puts the kids in charge! An absolute fail, and I will be looking for another carrier if my kids are to continue to have cell service as this provides no parental control. There is no “secure family” with this app...Bring back Smart Limits!!
