Uber is a ridesharing app for fast, reliable rides in minutes – day or night. There’s no need to park or wait for a taxi or bus. With Uber, you just tap to request a ride, and it’s easy to pay with credit card or cash (in selected cities only). Whether you’re going to the airport or across town, there’s an Uber for every occasion. Uber is available in more than 500 cities worldwide – download the app and take your first trip today. Requesting your Uber is easy – here’s how it works: - Just open the app and tell us where you want to go. - The app uses your location so your driver knows where to pick you up. - You’ll see your driver’s picture and vehicle details, and can track their arrival on the map. - Payment can be made by credit card, cash (in selected cities only), Apple Pay, PayPal and more. - After the ride, you can rate your driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience. You’ll also get a receipt by email. Need a simple way to get from A to B quickly? Take uberX, our most affordable option for individual travel. Want to save money on your ride? Take uberPOOL – you’ll travel with other riders heading in the same direction, and enjoy a lower fare. Want a more exclusive experience? Take a high-end vehicle with UberBLACK. Stop sending me marketing notifications, especially on my watch. Who on earth thought it was a good idea to send marketing notifications that show up on the watch? I am one smidgeon away from uninstalling the app because of these repeated annoyances.
  • No control of notifications

Uber recently started using notifications as advertising. I’ve had to disable notifications, which is annoying because I want them when I’m actually using the app. Uber’s aggrieve use of notifications makes me less likely to use them and also creates a bad user experience which is reflected in my review. I looked for an option to configure notifications in the app and didn’t find one. Fortunately iOS had a settings to disable notifications. I was happy with Uber app for years. But the push notifications have made me unhappy and I might switch to Lyft instead. Not sure if anyone at Uber reads app ratings but this seemed like the best way to let Uber know that being too pushy actually makes me use them less. I’ll use the service of it makes sense to me. But not if it’s sending a bunch of spam notifications.

I don’t why Uber shows near by drivers and then gives you someone 15 minutes away. I take this to work and can’t afford to wait that long. I always give myself enough time but I still find myself racing against time. Ridiculous.

Uber makes my work travel much easier. When I am in a new city, my Uber driver shows me around and helps me get to where I need to go. They also give recommendations on where to eat and how to work with my local clients.

My most recent ride resulted in my driver circling around the same area for over 15 minutes kept trying to cancel the pool and was very verbally aggressive with everything on the road I was 30 MINUTES LATE to my destination and I was charged and extra $12 for my $5 trip because of this and on top of everything Uber has the worst customer support experience I have ever experience with a service like this save your time and try another one

The new feature is a completely rip-off. Uber recently publish a new feature for Uber Pool. So during a trip when there are multiple riders on the car. Uber app will prompt the co-rider that gets off early about whether they want to get off the car at one or a few blocks away, which can save the rest of the riders a few minutes. While this is a great approach to shorten the entire Uber pool trip for the rest of the riders and the driver, it definitely hurt the rider who is willing to get off early. First of all, this rider didn’t received the whole service he paid for (didn’t arrive the pre-set destination). The last portion of his trip did not get refunded! This is the most ridiculous part. So Uber are expecting the riders to get off early just out of their good heart to give up their money and make sacrifices to walk? The more realistic logic should be that Uber will refund the last portion of the trip since the rider didn’t ride that portion! And now we can talk about good heart. If Uber doesn’t honor the good heart that’s fine. But ideally, there should be more incentives for this good heart behavior. So looking at the situation right now, Uber is completely ripping off the riders because every riders paid for the full trip (say it takes 30 minutes), and now because some of the riders are willing to get off early, the entire trip is shorten to maybe 20 minutes. So Uber and the driver makes the money for a 30-mins drive but only did a 30-minutes service, and leave the riders walking to their destination with no reimbursement or partial refund. This is insanely ridiculous. Uber should not use this new features in a way that rip off the riders. The good way of rolling out this new features should be focusing on the purpose of shorten the trip time for everyone, so some of the riders get home early, the driver has more time to do next orders, and Uber is marking more money because driver do more orders. The key part of this is to refund the rider who is willing to get off before their destination who actually receive less service than Uber had promised them on marking the order.
