Very easy to use, cleaner design than powerpoint and a better collaboration structure. My whole university has lately seen a change from powerpoint to keynote as the new standard. Only issue is, that my PC friends keep complaining that they are not able to get it.
  • Collaboration needs to be better!

I really like Keynote, it is the solution to so many different jobs that go so far beyond a simple presentation. Recently we started using collaboration through iCloud, which is a game changer with multi-user editing... we nearly had the Windows users and PowerPoint pros switching over. And then we ran into "you can't edit objects within a group in shared documents." What should have been a no-brainer upgrade for the team turned into an apology tour, trying to explain why we chose to go with Keynote instead of another presentation software when basic functionality wasn't available. If collaborative mode was as full featured as the core product, this would be 5-star app. As it stands, it doesn't hold up.

I have updated this app. I have removed then reinstalled. I have lost so much work trying to use this garbage. I don't undestand why it doesn't work for me. I bought a brand new MacBook Pro TODAY, and yet it doesn't work still. Have double RAM (16gb). There is NO reason why this should be crashing, "application not responding" on me. So annoying.

  • The app is amazing, but it doesnt open!

Just the bad and old “to open this file you have to update your software first”. Then the appstore give an option to update the software that doesn't work neither give an error message or an alternative. This has been hapening for more than a month now. Guys, you have been great in the past, but you’re reaaaaly stumbling down the road of mediocrity. Maybe my machine is just to old to be considered (2011) but it still works perfectly. What I’m suposed to do? Thrash it and buy a new one? So much for a company that call itself “environment-friendly”. Is it forced obsolence or what? By the way, same thing with my iPad 1: works perfectly but NO SOFTWARE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD, and there were tons of them…. Guys, a piece of advise: google already got you in many aspects. I Have 15gb for free in each account and I can have as many accounts as I want. Icloud gives me 5gb FOR ALL MY DEVICES. Oh, I can buy more...Lame…. You still hold the best combination of hardware x OS, but linux has improved A LOT. If this programmed obsolence nonsense holds I’ll gladly move to open hardware and linux in the future, as did with IPhones, that are another perfect example, by the way. Once the best, now just the worst price x benefit combination.

For my application of light use it's fine.
