  • Crash fest continues.

ProTools is much better. Even Reaper is much better. This thing crashes all the time and does not work well with plugins from Waves. It freezes with Fireface UCX. It dies miserably with a project that has 4 audio and 12 MIDI tracks. The app is not optimized for the apple hardware such as MacBook Pro. The only way it works OK is if you use only the plugins that it comes with on a very small session with very few tracks. It is a toy rather than a serious mixing / song writing software. The new version 10.4.5 crashes just the same as the old 10.4.4 and the only thing worse than the Logic Pro is Apple support for it. Save your money and buy Pro Tools if you want to get anything done.

I have been using Logic Pro for a long time and one of the problems I have is the metadata portion. We should be able to add metadata to WAV. files and not just the MP3. I am tired of having to use online third parties to complete this task. Sometimes I dont want to upload my music to the site because of fear of a leak for the interested parties when it comes to collaborations or work for hire. Again I am specifically speaking on the WAV. file not mp3. We should be able to add information for the WAV. form bounce.
  • Great software, a little buggy

I've been using this software for a while for mixing and mastering. Great software for the price! definitely my go-to DAW However, when i edit with a project with a video, it gets buggy. Sometimes the audio would not play but would show that it is playing. I would have to restart Logic to get it to work correctly, sometimes i have to remove the video and import again after i restart the project. Aside from that, i've been loving this software. Please fix this! Thanks

glitchy audio performance on my macbook air, despite being told by apple that it is compatible with my laptop. They should have said barely compatible. 200 dollars down the drain. Ima just stick with garageband and fl studio.
  • So buggy since the update!!

I (regrettably) updated to the latest version and have experienced some major bugs, especially in flex pitch and random, seemingly unfixable sound issues that have ruined some vocal takes after adjusting te length of the take. If someone reads this, I can send screen shots. Hope this is resolved soon

The Logic Pro X is really something special, a gem in the music production world. I've used plenty of other DAW's, examples are Live, Bitwig, Dolbe, and Cubase. But nothing even comes close to this software. I am able to create music like a breeze. However, I seem to have some problem witht eh EXS24, and i heard form others it has been broken ever since Logic 9. Avalibility is another thing that brought this amazing software down to a four star. Let alone the $199.99 starting price, I took 3k out of my bank account to purchase this Macbook Pro. Only the people who are willing to buy Apple products can use this software, jerk move Apple. All in all, amazing software, tremendously easy to use, reccomended it for everyone who has an Apple product already and has $200 to spare. For windows users, I heard Kidneies sell for a fortune in the black market...

Workflow flexibility, stability and compatibility with high end plugins have made it irreplacible to me. I'vd used it since version 7. Nine albums and more recently audio for video editing have made it part of my daily routine.
  • The amount of bugs is astonishing. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

The quality is rolling down like apple engineers on their boards on coastal waves. That’s what they are doing instead of coding, I guess... Seriously, the amount of bugs make this app almsot unusable. Of course if you’re doing simple demos with couple of tracks you might be OK, but as soon as you enter anything more advanced - crashes go in chains. Comping (or folder tracks), for example, is 101% sure way to see Logic crashing constantly. The internet is full of complaints that go for years and…. nothing! From version to verison it just keeps crashing. I wonder what sort of guts do they have to even sell it, because it looks like a constant alpha version with early public acces. What’s most disturbing though are these points: * It doesn’t help that they use their own OS - they don’t have to deal with several versions of Windows like Ableton, Cubase and Studio one * It does not help that Apple has it’s own plugin format: they do not have to deal with different versions of VST, VST3, RTAS and others on several OSes * It does not help that Logic has plugin validator: even one OS of their own and with one plugin format AND even after plugins are validated on each start it is easy to show how Logic crashes CONSTANTLY * It does not help that some of the technologies (like mentioned take folders) are in Logic fro years and internet is full of complaints and seemingly they should have enough feedback and crash reports to fix everything… But no. Logic is just getting worse and worse and worse. 10.4.4 is especially hot on comlaints: some people canot even record audio. In a DAW!!! Somebody still believe Apple has appropriate CEO? Stop fooling yourself and swithc to a proper DAW like Studio One. Leave this pile of crap for your own mental health!
  • Huge Clicking Issues

My forcetouch trackpad keeps triggering in a loop when I click inside areas of Logic Pro X like piano roll, instrument selector. Really annoying, makes it impossible to use.
