The app will not move past the free trial page in order to see the selection of books. Even after having signed up for the free trial, and signed into a Disney account it will not take us to the selection of books even when pressing the home button. Incredibly frustrating and poorly put together.

Just got this app for my baby girl- I love that it has an auto read feature as well as a manual read. That way I can read to her or if I can’t the app will read the story to her (I play it when I’m feeding her and have my hands full) it’s also helped with her bedtime routine as well. I’m excited for when she gets older and we can start reading stories off of here together. I also appreciate that I can have this app on multiple devices and just log in.
  • Books don’t open

I have a VIap pass and am doing research. Unable to complete it because 80% of books won’t open. The buffering icon shows up and then... nothing. So I try again and again and again and the app freezes. Happened with Ana loves Elsa for example. Many others also Also the search tool is archaic. If I type in Ana loves it comes up as no result. Also if I type the whole name Ana loves Elsa it turns up no result. Only if I type in frozen do all the options come up for frozen including one actually called Ana loves Elsa. Lol get it together devs... Also when I click the search bar on the computer it doesn’t automatically prompt me to type. O I have to take an extra step and click on the search bar that toggles down. I already hit the icon I want to search, why would I have to do it twice? Not intuitive at all. Get some QA dudes

We finally broke down and downloaded this after the Disney Story podcast that we had listened to many times was removed from podcasts. It takes forever for stories to load, and some of them don’t offer a read aloud version, which was a major perk of the podcast. It was really great to plug my phone in on car rides and let a story play. This app has the appearance of being user friendly, but I’m deleting it after one day of only being able to play one story in its entirety for my kids. Totally disappointing.

  • Tokens were great

This app used to be truly great when you could buy tokens for more stories. My sons used to earn the tokens, and then enjoyed redeeming tokens for specific stories they wanted. Not the same with subscription based service. It’s sad to see such a great idea go down the tubes.
  • Greedy Disney

Bring back the token option! My grandkids love this app. I can not afford the monthly fees. I am on a disability income and could occasionally afford tokens for them. You would think that an organization like Disney that make a fortune in all their ventures could at least offer something reasonably affordable. Was Walt this greedy?
  • Lost books I paid for! Not right to do that to customers.

Horrible customer service. I did eventually get an email with instructions to restore books. I followed directions and the books still did not restore. Reached out again and waited MONTHS to eventually get another email with the same instructions as the first that did not work.
  • Give more control to parents

I find some of the content in story central to be inappropriate for my autism spectrum daughter. Give parents the option to omit some of the characters books.
  • Disappointing changes

Love the app and books but HATE it that they have gone to subscription only. We can not afford a monthly subscription to anything and loved being able to get a book for special occasions now we can not get new books. Very sad!
