  • Best budgeting app I’ve found

    By semcbay
I love the simple design and how fun it is to update my budget and expenditures. The free service is great. The premium doesn’t really offer much to warrant the monthly payment. After another month or so, I’ll probably buy the yearly service just to contribute. The app is too good to not be rewarded for their efforts. Great job!

It’s free and doesn’t say anything about money until about three days in and then says you have to pay 4.99 a month to continue. Disappointing I’ve been using it and then tries to get money from you. Why not come out with it in the first place and say it costs money? Wouldn’t recommend
  • Not bad, but not great either

I’ll start by saying that I lost all of my data—just gone. Somewhere between trying to create a new budget for next month and deciding to cancel my subscription, everything just disappeared without warning. I’m inclined to give the app the lowest rating possible for this sort of a thing. (If the app loses data, the app actually has negative value.) That being said, I feel the developer did a lot of things well. The app looks great, which was part of what made it stand out among the others. The feature set is decent, and I appreciate being able to do a biweekly budget, but in my opinion the $4.99/month subscription plan doesn’t really make sense. I’ve read the developer’s reasoning regarding it, but as a consumer I’ve got to say that it should probably be priced around $0.99 or $1.99. In conclusion, this app was almost good enough to keep me using it, but the $4.99 per month has me walking away, and the loss of data has me writing the review.
  • Great

Great design and simple to use! I love how you don’t need to assign a bank account. One thing that would be useful is if you could assign an income percentage to savings instead of a set deal.
  • Great app! But what about forgot pwd,?

    By user7163
This is a great app. Beautiful interface. Easy to use and a pleasure to use. But there’s no reset/forgot password function! Help :(
  • No bank syncing

    By Awesome2525
I wanted to like this app so much, the design is good and I like the budget sharing. However, there isn’t any bank syncing? You’ve got to be kidding me. Who has time to enter every transaction? What’s interesting is others have pointed this out and there doesn’t seem to be any valid response to this, simply “great feedback.” I honestly don’t know how this app continues to function and I suspect it has a very high turnover rate as people figure out entering transactions manually is a thing of the past.
  • Question

    By rhaney15
Enjoying the app so far but I can’t figure out where to find the total budget number. In other words, where can I see the total cost of items that are not fixed expenses, but that’s I have budgeted for? Please advise.
  • Poor for Planning Ahead

    By D. Ramsay
This is a great app for sure, but it doesn’t allow you to plan ahead properly. If you pay the premium fee, it allows you to create multiple budgets, but you can only use one at a time. When you try to plan December for instance, it changes your entire budget for November.
  • Great way to manage your money!

If you’re looking for a budget app that connects to your bank accounts, there’s tons of them out there! Buddy isn’t meant to be used that way and I LOVE that about it. If you have fixed expenses, you’re able to set those up on a recurring basis. Being able to manually input transactions is also ideal for those who want to stay on top of their expenses as they’re made. If you’re not a fan, you can always schedule transactions ahead of time too! I used to use the Daily Budget App, but I honestly enjoy the UI of Buddy so much better that I can see myself using it more. 👌🏼
  • LOVE this app - BUT

    By AlexandraNora1234
So I have tried just about every personal finance tracker that the App Store has to offer. This app is by far my favorite! It is beautifully designed and makes managing your day-to-day and long-term expenses an easy task. However, I wish there was a flat fee for premium instead of a monthly subscription. This is why I couldn’t give the app 5 stars. It has so much potential, but isn’t worth the monthly fee. If this is ever changed, I’ll be purchasing and giving the full 5 stars!
