Carista OBD2 for PC Description

Carista is a mobile app which empowers you to seamlessly diagnose, customize, and service your car. Just plug in your OBD2 adapter, launch the app, and save time and money on dealers and mechanics. Free Features: • Diagnose: Carista checks your vehicle's health and enables you to clear any fault codes to reset your “check engine" light. You can also ensure you are ready for emissions testing. Paid Features (supported vehicles only): • Diagnose: Unlike regular OBD2 apps, Carista gives you access to advanced manufacturer-specific diagnostics related to various vehicle electronic control units (ECU) such as ABS, airbag, immobilizer, navigation, and traction control. • Customize: Carista lets you personalize the way your car behaves. Say you want your headlights to come on automatically when you start the engine; or you want the doors to lock when you start moving; or you want to change the type of beep that the reverse parking sensors make. It’s as easy as customizing the settings on your smartphone. • Service: Carista gives you access to electronic service tools for your car. You can reset the oil & inspection service indicators, service your electronic parking brake (EPB) to replace your brake pads by yourself, and see your launch control count. Is my car supported? See: Pricing: All paid features (see above) are available with an in-app purchase of our Pro functionality: a 1-week pass for $9.99 USD or an auto-renewable subscription at $39.99 USD/year. If you use the official Carista OBD2 adapter, you will receive a free one-month trial of all paid features by picking the yearly subscription. Here are Apple's rules on auto-renewable subscriptions: • Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase • Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period • Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal • Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable Hardware Requirement: In order to use Carista, you need an OBD2 adapter - a separate piece of hardware that you plug into the vehicle's diagnostic port under the dash. You can use the Carista OBD2 adapter, a Kiwi3 adapter or a generic ELM327 v1.4 WiFi adapter (just make sure it’s not fake/defective; note that generic Bluetooth adapters are not supported). Does the subscription matter how much you get or no?

You must view terms to use app but clicking on link takes you to Carista website where terms link does not work with iOS. Glad I didn’t buy adapter yet.

    Worth the money
  • When it works

By SPN Fan and I love it!
For some reason it doesn’t connect half the time. I have to delete app and reload it then restore purchases. Then hope it works. When it does work it’s pretty cool. Customize settings for your car like windows, door locks, lights and signal options.
  • Great app. Did just what I needed it to do!

I paid for the $9.99 week access to make a few tweaks and it was perfect. Cheap date as far as I’m concerned

The app is okay, I don’t think it’s worth the price being charged for what you get. With my 2010 Bmw 335i M Sport it gives a decent amount of features but not like the “Carly” app. Not only does Carly do more then Carista, but it actually works on my other Bmw which is a 2013 535i M Sport. Carista don’t work on that car. Nor does it work on a 2017 2SS Camaro. I know Carista is supposed to be universal which is why I went with it, but honestly it doesn’t support many vehicles. Carly is targeted to the European cars and really gives you the real deal with coding not just a few options. Real time monitoring etc. Either step your game up Carista developers or consumers do some reviews before purchasing. The reason for two stars is because you can do “some” coding so I didn’t give one star. But as long as it takes to do a diagnostic test again IMHO deserves a two. I have better things to do then wait 5+ minutes for a diagnostic test. It’s SSSLLLOOWWWW!
  • Used to customize for free. Not anymore.

    By Chaseme13
I loved this app for awhile. It used to be mainly free and I could use a third-party OBD II adapter. Not anymore. The greedy company is now charging a hefty amount for a monthly subscription AND you have to buy their pricey dongle. Now the old method of finding someone local with a VAGCOM and trading in beer is cheaper.

Is there anyway someone can contact me? I’ve been charged $40.00 twice this month for the yearly subscription and I’m pretty upset. That’s not right. Now it’s $120 after cancelling the subscription. Somebody help

Love the app and love the Carista OBD2 adapter as well. It cleared 12 codes I didn’t even know I had as well as unlock features of both my R56 itself and my key fob. The dealer charges an arm and a leg to unlock these features that are already there and to program a key fob not to mention the price to diagnose and clear codes. If I do have to bring it in to the shop I’ll feel much more confident knowing what the issue is even before I arrive. This thing will probably end up saving me so much time, money, and hassle.
  • Prius V Reverse beep removed

    By withptunes
This app worked as promised with a wifi obd2 connector I purchased on Amazon. Was able to easily turn off reverse beeping on prius v. You have to pay 9.99 for access to this feature... Which seems a little steep... but it worked flawlessly and saved a trip to the dealer (and some dealers refuse to turn off beeping...) solid app.
