The personal moon project is making fairy tales come true for romantics everywhere...




Remember the fairy tale about the girl who wanted to wear the moon around her neck as a necklace? Well, Peter Pilotto did capture the majesty of the night sky for all dreamers (with big wallets) to wear on their back.

If there is one infatuation I am expressing this spring it is an admiration for bright nail polish.   • I am back at my Grandmother's for a few days before I fly across country to Washington State. She has no Internet so I'm catching snatches now and again at a public library. It is good to escape everyone once in awhile.

  • These book sculptures by Su Blackwell have been blowing my mind for months.
  • I have an irrational fear of falling down a staircase...but I really love the way they look.
  • The more I travel, the more I want to see...it is a never ending cycle. Regardless, here are a few of my favorite snaps from my road trip which is now at an end although I am still longing for more. From geysers to antelope this is the Midwest (and Pacific Northwest) with its vast sky and seemingly endless possibilities.
  • Went on a "field trip" to Washington, D.C. yesterday, making me feel twelve rather than twenty-two...except of course our buses dropped us at the curb and left us to our own devices.

  • Today I walk and the steps actually mean something. Then it will be off to a wonderful dive for Thai food and embarrassing stories from my childhood, I know my family too well...
  • My scintillating sister got me this brass knuckle necklace for my birthday. I love the fact that it also happens to be pink, which sort of ups the ridiculous factor. In an awesome quirk of luck I ended up sitting next to a boy in one of my classes who had a brass knuckle tattoo. Moments like that make my day.
  • My time in Atlanta Georgia so far.
  • I have a friend visiting at the moment. This means late night dancing until 2:00 am, picnics by the creek, and general camaraderie.
  • The weather has been miserable lately; raining nearly constantly. I will either grow gills or build an ark if this madness doesn't end soon. Still, the sole benefit of all the rain is how green everything is becoming.
