INSTANT OUTFIT is a new weekly story featured on THE VINTAGE SOCIETY. The idea is to take a trend of the season and come up with an instant idea (or two) to inspire some of your own thoughts.

Along with my news comes the instant outfit inspired by the travels ahead. To reach New York in time to catch the Fashion Week rush - I will be heading out on a RED EYE non-stop flight.

A society girl out there requested that my instant outfit this week be focused on the latest trend - TARTAN - I was more than happy to oblige. These days, tartan is not just for your scottish family reunion, it can be worn just about anytime and anywhere. There are tartan dresses, tartan bags, tartan hats and tartan coats. The list could go on and on - so why not give it a try!
A plaid shirt is classic. It seems every fall season includes at least one version of a plaid shirt, and though it looks a little "hill-billy" the shirt can be worn oh-so-chic.

It's not just a fitted tank, its a little more tailored.. a little more sophisticated. It can be worn alone, layered over and under, tucked in or out - it's the Gray Fitted Button-Down Tank.
"I pledge allegiance to the United States of America..." stars, stripes - red, white and blue!
Spring looks to be very patriotic with references to the big USA everywhere. Taking a hint from the grand 'ole flag, the collections were focused on those red and white STRIPES.
As requested.... "I have to go to my sister's church to see my nephew in a Christmas play this year, but afterwards we're going out to celebrate my sister's birthday. Before my feverish coma took over the weekend... I almost went into a "greatest find coma". There are different varieties of great finds - there are vintage finds, thrift finds, and coveted designer (for a great price) finds. It was the third that I stumbled upon early in my weekend.
Inspired by the most recent Instant Outfit, I took it upon myself to create a look combining “Stripes and Florals”. My look came out a bit boho-chic, which I seem to find myself drawn to often these days.
