The only time that I've continuously worn a piece of jewelry was in high school when Mommy Legit made me promise that I'd justify the $200 she was going to spend on my class ring, and I wore that piece of crap until the cheap metal turned my finger green. Now, I only throw on a necklace for special occasions, and even then, I always end up taking everything off after ten minutes. But, I saw these Kenneth Jay Lane knockoffs at Old Navy a few days ago and I couldn't help but pick them up. One is a silver, metal, spotted panther inlaid with black rhinestones, and the other is a red plastic with a brass snake. I love how they make me feel like I've instantly dressed up my outfit (you know how one of my favorite activities is fooling myself), and they're ostentatious enough so I don't feel like I'm getting a B-grade, ring-wearing experience.
