Perfectly Torn

These photos of Alexander Wang's spring/summer 08 lookbook feature the most perfect torn denim shorts. They are just the right shade of washed-out blue and perfectly baggy to be a comfortable summer attire. Why oh why don't I ever find any torn baggy jeans at flea markets?? Shouldn't they be full of these kind of things? This is my second year looking and I still haven't found my perfect pair or even anything close to perfect. I'm crossing my fingers to find the right pair this summer, because this is exactly how I want to look this summer, baggy shorts, simple white tops and a blazer or maybe a cashmere cardigan.

    Today has been the first really warm day this spring. After my morning run I went to Vallilan makasiinit, which holds a flea market called Valtteri every weekend. For some reason I kept getting really weird looks from people.

  • Shelter From The Rain
    The weather has been like a rollercoaster ride, one minute it's sunny and the next it's raining and storming. Shelter provided by my Vivienne Westwood hood sweater was often needed today.


  • Breakfast and Thrift Shopping
    It's been a rainy and grey day in Helsinki and it seems like spring has taken a leap backwards. Not minding the dull weather, I spent a relaxing morning with a friend at Fazer, having a wonderful breakfast that included everything from croissants, yoghurt and fruit to pancakes, chocolate and cake.

    I have to admit, I have a serious girl crush on this girl. How could I not, when she looks like Alice (as in Alice in Wonderland), has picnics in the woods and owns the most perfect wardrobe of dreamy dresses and vintage finds. Her whole life seems like a fairytale to me.

  • I'm Back!
    Last month has been very busy. I kind of got "promoted" and now have more responsibilities at work, which is why I haven't had any time for blogging. But I'm back now with new hair! As I promised, I'm posting before and after -pictures. I think the hair doesn't look half bad.
  • I Went a Little Spring Crazy...

    The last couple of days have been the first ones that have looked, felt and smelled like spring. On Monday I had a day off from work and spent the whole day window shopping. I found some great spring clothes but didn't buy anything because I had promised myself not to spend any more money on clothes this month (and I have already spent A LOT). Well, yesterday was a whole different story.
