This week my mind has been more on sewing and knitting than shopping and even (shock!) New York Fashion Week. Which is ok by me--I get more of a productive feeling from sewing a dress than buying one, even if that dress turns out a bit messy like the one above. It's from a Built By Wendy pattern, though I don't think Wendy would own up to designing it if she saw me wearing it around, with its sleeves that are gathered in the wrong places and its awfully bumpy zipper in back. But . . . I finished it! And I'm actually going to wear it out of the house tonight!

Didn't I start this cardigan months ago? With the thickness of the yarn and the easiness of the pattern I have no excuse to be taking so long. But now I just have the sleeves to knit, so I'm going to try to get it done, finally.

This last one hardly counts as a craft project as it was so simple, but I couldn't resist showing it. I found this little boy's bow-tie today at an antique store and took out the tie clip and replaced it with a barrette. I think I want to wear an outfit with these colors . . . they might be my favorite colors together for Fall.
