It seems lately that if I'm not talking up 1940s styles or Anthropologie then I'm griping about the Southern heat and how it feels like it will never get cool enough for sweaters and coats. So when I got the chance to put a couple of Fall outfits together for an upcoming foreign magazine article I jumped at it. The article's all about vintage clothing, and I'd say more about it except that I'd be afraid to jinx it. And I don't know if I'm allowed to. So more later!

For some reason this week the only things I've bought at the thrift stores and decided to keep for myself have been sweaters that I won't be able to wear for months to come. But I couldn't resist these . . . The grey one is cashmere and 1960s, and so simple in a nice way. And the '70s shawl-collared one is a bit old lady-ish at the moment, but I think I can make it better by dying it. I'm thinking grey or mustard yellow. Any suggestions?
